SFM Bridge

Bridging the gap between education and vocation, theory and practice.

Bridge is the name for SFM’s activities in the educational sector, offering financial market, business and entrepreneurship training to young people.

We work with colleges and schools in both the public and private sector and supply courses on a regular or as-needed basis. We also provide advice about content and structure to educational establishments developing their curricula in this area.

More than ever, a good grounding in finance and business is important for young people, encouraging their interest in the political and economic world and equipping them with confidence and a practical skill set. Providing such courses can also help educational institutions to raise their profile amongst students and fee sources.

Below you can read some of the feedback Bridge has received.

As with all SFM training, Bridge courses provide the link between theoretical and practical knowledge.  Our training style encourages teamwork and helps students develop their analytical and presentation skills.

We collaborate fully with permanent educational staff to ensure the course material is pitched at just the right level and to include links to existing curriculum areas where this is helpful.

If you’d like an informal discussion about the Bridge programme and how your college or school might get involved, please call 0207 877 0607 or email us at bridge@sfmcapitalmarkets.com.

Feedback for SFM Bridge:

“Many thanks again for delivering the City Course. Similarly to last time, feed-back has been extremely positive and they all really enjoyed their two day course… they really had fun and most importantly rose to the challenge and learnt so much.”

“On behalf of all of us…I would like to thank you for the brilliant two days we had with you last week… you gave us the perfect understanding of different elements of the financial sector and its markets. This understanding was tested by the problem solving aspects of the day which we all found extremely beneficial as we could put the theory into practice. …. Thank you for the way that you made it such a realistic environment so that we all felt that we were actual traders trading! An exciting and fascinating experience was had by all and the skills we gained have given us all a taste of what it would be like to work in the financial investment field. I hope you enjoyed teaching us as much as we enjoyed learning from you. Thank you again.”

“On behalf of Brunel Business School, I wanted to say a BIG Thank you. The event was a complete success. There has been nothing but positive comments. It was clearly evident that the students not only soaked up the knowledge.., but also put what they learned into action. The buzz created within the room saw students in attendance call/text their friends (some of whom were not even from the business school) and encourage them to also attend the event as they saw the value of what they were learning… On my many walks around the room it was great to see you taking the time to speak to the students, share your contact details and really encourage them in their individual quests. I hope this is the beginning of a successful journey for the students and again I’d like to thank you for being part of their journey.”
